Mortgage rates slide the fastest in four years, but it may be too late for the housing market

Rates for home loans fell by double digits in the most recent week, but with the housing market on its heels and few Americans in a position to take advantage of the ability to refinance, it’s not clear how helpful this can be for the housing market.
